Quality Mercedes Service & Maintenance in Oakland

At Import Motors we believe that our customers should be aware of what is done on their vehicles when they bring them in for recommended maintenance. Below we have listed a general description of the work done on the different services for the newer models. Please be aware that depending on the year, model and mileage, details will vary. We highly recommend that you take a few minutes and study the information in your owners’ manual concerning regular maintenance on your car.

A high end luxury vehicle like a Mercedes-Benz needs a maintenance routine. The same way you can’t go long without washing your car, or grooming your pet, you can’t fail to give your Mercedes engine the proper attention. Not only will it run and sound like it’s supposed to, but it will also add years to the life of the vehicle; not to mention prevent costly repairs. Our team will keep your Mercedes running smoothly and looking sharp with our courtesy car wash service.

Import Motors follows the standard service guidelines created by Mercedes-Benz. These services are basically broken down into three groups: vehicles made before 1997, vehicles made between 1998 and 2004, and vehicles made after 2005. For those cars that were made prior to 1997, services are broken down into C, E and EZ Services. Those cars after 1997, use a variable Flex Service composed of A and B Services. Each service contains minimum services with other maintenance at suggested mileage. All of our services include a 34 Point Safety Inspection completed by our skilled technicians. Our services use Original Equipment Parts. All products and workmanship are warranted for 12 months or 12,000 miles from the date of installation. Listed below is a breakdown of our maintenance services:

C, E and EZ Service Intervals up through 1997:

  • C Service: Every 4,000 miles
  • E Service: Every 15,000 miles
  • EZ Service: Every 30,000 miles
  • A and B Service Intervals from 1998 through 2004:
  • A Service: Every 10,000 miles alternating with B services
  • B Service: Every 10,000 miles alternating with A services
  • Air and Fuel Service: Every 4 years or 60,000 miles
  • Spark Plug Service: Every 5 years or 100,000 miles

From model year 2005 the maintenance system tracks distance driven and the time elapsed since your last service. In addition, it calculates service items that need to be performed and other required maintenance work. The next necessary maintenance service is indicated in the multifunction display in the instrument cluster. The maintenance services will be indicated by showing a Service Type A through H in the multifunction display.

The Mercedes-Benz is built to last and is an example of the best the automotive industry has to offer. Together, we can develop a routine regarding a recommended maintenance schedule. This schedule will maintain that quality high performance vehicle you purchased. Our thorough vehicle inspections and services make us Oakland’s preferred location to maintain your Mercedes-Benz. We also offer a complimentary local shuttle service for your convenience. Stop by today, so we can help you take care of your Mercedes-Benz. Your Mercedes will appreciate it.
